Over the past few months, we noticed a group of people keen in learning resin skill rather than attending an art experience workshop. We developed a comprehensive resin course that equips participants with a solid understanding of resin and techniques, guiding them step by step in crafting a complete resin artwork under mentor supervision. They could apply the knowledge to their usual creation work process.
Mentor background:
Mr. Liew Chung Heng (Froson) is a self-taught resin practitioner based in Malaysia, actively exploring resin as an artistic medium since 2017. Through experimentation with various types of resin, he has studied their characteristics to identify the most suitable materials for his creative practice. His work spans from small handcrafted pieces to large furniture creations, using resin to produce distinctive ocean-themed furniture.

Course breakdown:
This resin course is designed as a balance between knowledge and hands-on practice, with a total duration of approximately 3 hours. The session begins with a theoretical introduction, participant will learn about essential resin fundamentals; including resin types, safety measures, and basic techniques. Then move into a practical session where participant will craft a fully handmade resin wall frame under step-by-step mentor guidance.
We hope this three-hour course equips participants with essential resin knowledge so that they can apply in future creative practice. We wish to help participant to build the resin foundation, we believe that a proper practice is the key for to venture further in this field. Resin art is a craft that requires patience, continuous practice, and self-experimentation—where failure is not a setback, but an integral part of the learning journey.
